OmniPath Diagnostics is pleased to announce the launch of ClearPrep, a breakthrough Pap test that has been shown to assist in collecting more representative cells while improving slide visibility over traditional Pap methods.
The FDA-cleared GyneMed Brush, used to collect the cervical sample, yields greater patient comfort while collecting up to 20% more cells. The brush's unique design ensures that a maximum representative sample from the target area is obtained. The cannula, on the brush, dislodges the cells into the fixative, thus enhancing the cell volume available for testing. The brush’s high cellular collection rate helps to provide low UnSat rates and ensures cells are available for additional STD testing.
The ClearPrep method of processing is a manual method, that utilizes proprietary agars to ensure a thin mono-layer, free from mechanical or procedural artifacts. The highly cellular slides allow for exceptional disease detection and low ASCUS rates. The ClearPrep method has shown high correlation to colposcopy and HPV results.
