Microscopic
Histologically, there are numerous spindle cells with scant cytoplasm that are proliferating diffusely between collagen fibers at all levels of the reticular dermis and sometimes form linear arrangements. The lesion is non-circumscribed and no atypical mitoses, pleomorphism, necrosis or significant collagenization are present. There is focal perivascular chronic inflammation in the superficial dermis. The lesion extends to the biopsy margins.
